Time to look at something new
Well I thought I was almost done knitting the ST portion of the sweater vest for DH. I held it up to him and went "Hmm that doesn't seem quiet long enough." Word of advice - when in doubt find a similar piece of clothing that is in the closet and measure. Well...that sweater vest is 15 inches from hem to arm scythe. In honor of DH beating Metroid: Other M - I am temporarily switching projects! This week I shall finally assemble the French Press Slippers for a friend. Even though it's only about 12 more rows until I get to work on the arm scythe I just need a little something different because that sweater vest is feeling more and more like a chore every day.
Since I mentioned Metroid I will give you my 2 cents. The game looked pretty (especially for the Wii) but, like many other games, they put in needless mechanics just so they could "use" the Wii-mote. Also, there was no option to use the nun-chuck instead of having to flip the controller around like a madman or woman. What really cinches it for me is the dissatisfied feeling I was left after the ending. There's nothing "wrong" about it, but it feels like the least amount of thought was put into the ending.
That wraps up my Columbus Day. Hope yours was fun!
